We are an all age (2-19) generic special school situated on the outskirts of Durham City.

The school caters for pupils who have a range of special educational needs including moderate learning difficulties, severe learning difficulties, communication disorders (including specialist autistic provision) and complex and multiple learning difficulties.

Within school we have progressional routes (please click here to go to Our Classes section) for pupils depending on their academic, social and physical needs.

This ensures the individual needs of the pupils can be best matched and progress optimised. We offer a broad curriculum with a range of opportunities and experiences to ensure that all pupils are prepared for life beyond school.

The school is also a Sports College and pupils have the opportunity to access a range of additional sport activities/experiences in addition to their PE entitlement. Please click here to go to the PE & Sport section.

Our greatest resource is the staff. Together with pupils, families and other agencies we work together for the best outcomes for our pupils.
